My Daily Facial Routine

When it comes to facial skin care, I am highly OCD about it. To me, I see the face as a very delicate part of your body and something that should really be taken care of. Facial skin care is definitely one of my top priorities and I try to be on top of it as much as I can, never missing a day on my routine. So you're probably wondering, what is this sort of routine that I have? Well, I have your answer to that right now, because today I'll be sharing with you my daily facial routine!

I always start off with a cleanser to cleanse away all the dirt that's on my face. Although I generally have oily skin, it can be rather sensitive, especially when it comes to cleansers. I tend to use a gentle cleanser so it won't irritate my skin that much. I use two different cleansers for morning and night. In the morning, I like to use a really light and organic cleanser since there isn't too much dirt that is built up during the night. The current cleanser I am using in the morning is the Buche De Noel Cleanser from Lush, which was a Christmas edition they had. So unfortunately, I am unable to repurchase this cleanser as it was a limited edition. Quite a bummer though, since I really enjoyed using this cleanser. At night, I use the Natio Gentle Foam Facial Cleanser. I love this cleanser because not only is it really gentle on the skin, but it removes a lot of the dirt on my face, including make up, without giving that irritating tight feeling on the skin.

Since I have incredibly oily skin, toner is a must for me! It helps remove those excess dirt and my skin definitely feels a lot more clearer once I apply toner. Just like cleanser, I use it twice a day, in the morning and at night. I've been using a Natio toner for awhile now simply because it's gentle and does not contain alcohol, therefore it won't dry up my skin.

And of course, I can't forget about moisturiser! Despite having an oily complexion, my skin can get dry very easily! So I kind of have an oily yet sensitive skin. I know, how annoying right! I've been using the Olay moisturising cream for sensitive skin for quite some time now and it is definitely the best moisturiser I've used thus far.

So the products above are what I use every single day, twice a day. However, that's not my whole facial routine. Below are the additional products that I use on my skin!

Exfoliating is quite a big deal for me since I get really self-conscious about my pores. I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub as it is not too rough and does the job perfectly. I exfoliate my skin twice or three times a week in order to avoid stripping away the natural oils on my face. I also use the Anosa Rose Face Peeling Gel approximatey three  times a week in order to remove any dead skin cells. If you're not quite sure on what this product is, check out my review on it here

Last but not least, a clay and sheet mask is used once a week for each. The clay mask I use is the Wonder Pore Clay Clear by Etude House, which helps with minimising my pores. I've only recently started using this mask, but I can definitely say that this is one of my top favourite clay masks. The sheet masks I use are the My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks, which I have a review on right here. I tend to use these products right after I shower from a workout since my pores are open, and therefore would have more of an effect on my face.

To me, skin care is so important and whenever I miss a day of not doing my routine, I feel extremely dirty, as if I didn't have a shower. Although I think one of the biggest reasons for this is because having once had acne, you want to do anything possible to try and prevent it from coming back. Maintaining a good facial routine is most definitely one way to stop this.So I do encourage you all to keep up with your skin care routine as it is rather important. I mean think about it this way, whenever you do your make up or anything, would you rather be working with a nice and clean complexion, or a sloppy and dirty one? However, keep in mind though that not everyone's skin type is the same, so make sure that your skin care routine and the products you're using are suitable for the type of skin that you possess. Hope that an insight to my daily facial routine can help you with yours!

Stay tuned to see more updates on my blog!
