Ice Princess

It is absolutely freezing here in Adelaide! This week has been raining literally every single day that I've been afraid to go outside, and I feel that no matter how many layers of clothes I wear, I will never be warm enough. However instead of getting all depressed about it, I've decided to put together a look inspired by this chilly weather. 

This look was also inspired by the very well-known disney movie, Frozen. So I've decided to incorporate this look with different shades of blue eyeshadows to depict the cold and icy weather. And although there's no snow or ice down here, it definitely feels like there is! This is where a white eyeshadow comes in handy to act as a base and highlighter for the eyes. I find that a white cream eyshadow works best as it is much more pigmented and can also act as a primer. I also went with a bright shimmery blue eyeshadow for the lids and contrasting it with a navy eyeshadow on the outer corner of my eyes. I avoided using a darker eyeshadow such as black, since I wanted to go for a more elegant look, rather than a heavy one. 

Since there were quite a lot of things going on with my eyes, I decided to go with a nude lipstick to avoid capturing the attention away from the eyes. A subtle touch of bronzer to contour the face along with a light coloured blush was also added for finishing touches. I'm not someone who wears a lot of crazy eyeshadow colours, but I definitely had a lot of fun with this look. It took me out of my comfort zone and it's just so fun to experiment with all sorts of eyeshadow colours. 

So this week I will be in one of my favourite places in the world, Melbourne! Although I'm rather excited about that, I'm quite scared about the weather up there because I heard it's freezing at the moment. Oh well, winter fashion is always the bomb!
