May Favourites
Wow, can you believe that May is already over? Time sure does fly by! It honestly felt like just yesterday when I was in the middle of Melbourne city counting down to the first day of 2014, and now all of a sudden 5 months has already gone by. Anyway, enough rambling! So in this post I'd just like to share with you all my absolute fav items from May, ranging from make up to clothing items, enjoy!
CLOTHING ITEMS
Alright, so starting off with the clothing items, there isn't a whole lot of favs here in this category simply because I'll admit I've been quite lazy in terms of what I wear since uni started. The first item I adored the past month was this white woollen sweater that I purchased from Lookbook Store. Since going to uni, I've tried focusing on more versatile clothing items that can match with basically anything. This sweater definitely fits in this category, and since it was quite chilly in the last month, this was definitely my go-to. The wedges from Zu shoes was kind of an impulse purchase since they were on sale and are a tad big, but I'm quite happy that I made the purchase as I don't have a huge collection of wedges. And now to the boots, which I fell in love with at first sight! I've always wanted to grab myself a pair of shiny black Doc Martins, however I never got around to it. So when I came across these pair of boots, I knew I had to purchase these babies. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did! I've been wearing them constantly and they pretty much match with my whole wardrobe.
MAKE UP ITEMS
Now, moving onto the make up items. During May, I have been extra obsessive over make up items and the amount of money I spent on them in just one month was horrendous. I'm not really crazy on nail polishes and usually try to stick to natural colours when it comes to my nail polish. The Sally Hansen Salon Manicure nail polish in the colour 210 Shall We Dance definitely satisfies my requirements for nail polishes. The colour isn't too bold and makes a nice base colour for a French manicure, which is what I have on my nails at the moment. The Benefit Hoola Bronzer is an item that I had been longing to buy for awhile, because I've heard so many good things about it. Let me tell you this though, I was definitely not disappointed by the bronzer and love the gorgeous colour and dimensions it gives to my face. Although it has been out in America for awhile, the Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation had only recently come out in Australia, but it quickly became a favourite for me last month. The application is incredibly smooth and the coverage it gives is flawless. I'm also loving the Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer aswell because of the natural coverages they give. And if you'd like to know why the Too Faced Natural Radiance Face Palette made it to my May Favourites, check out the review I gave here!
SKIN CARE ITEMS
Not many of these items are actually skin care products but...anyway! This month, well, last month, I had a major low self-esteem because of my pores and I was trying to find all the remedies I could to minimise them. I came across the Etude House Wonder Pore Clay Clear in hopes that it could help with the grand canyons on my face. I can't say that it's improved my pores since I haven't used it for a long time, but I do like the product since it doesn't irritate my skin too much and I do feel as if my skin feels a lot more cleaner after application. EOS lip balms are my absolute favourite, they're so adorable and the scent of them are amazing! The EOS lip balm in blueberry was a must-try for me. It moisturises my lips just like all the other EOS lip balms, and the scent is just breathtaking. The EOS berry hand lotion came with the EOS lip balm in a limited edition package, so I wasn't overly excited or anything about using it. But I definitely fell in love with this hand lotion...well, the scent of it anyway.
So, those were my favourite items for May! There are many items there that I believe will be a favourite of mine for awhile. Anyway, aside from the beauty and fashion stuff, I'm going to Melbourne this holidays! I'm so excited since I'll finally be able to see my best friend who I haven't seen in so long and it's my first time travelling by myself, so that'll be something to look forward to! And of course, I cannot wait to shop till I drop while over there! I'll definitely be doing a lot of damage to my bank account...oh well!
Stay tuned to see more updates on my blog!
