It's only been a few days here in Vietnam, but I am absolutely drawn to the culture here, especially the food! Despite the fact that it's quite dirty and smelly here, I understand why so many people would come here to visit. I think I really have underestimated this place...
Even though the weather in Vietnam is quite hot, the local people here very rarely wear any summer clothings. In fact, they tend to wear long sleeve tops and pants, or even jumpers on a hot summer's day. You'll definitely be able to identify who the tourists are by the clothes they wear.
So on the second day while here, I decided to wear something simple as it really isn't necessary to fancy it up while over here. As the weather was quite warm, I decided to wear a simple brown sleeveless top with a pair of ripped up shorts to add some edginess with the outfit. I skipped the decision of adding accessories, since it's not a good idea wearing any jewellery around Vietnam, unless you want to get beaten to death and robbed...
I've also finally got to eat snails! So I can cross that off my list of things to do before I die. Truthfully speaking, they're actually quite amazing, especially with the tamarind sauce. They really aren't that disgusting as some people think it out to be, it tastes a bit like seafood as well. However, they are quite hard to eat due to their small size. Nevertheless, it's something I'd definitely eat again.
I've got six more days now till I leave Vietnam for Taiwan and I absolutely cannot wait to explore the place again! Stay tuned to see more updates on my trip !
