OOTD: Winter Wonderland

So I'm not going to lie, I hate winter. The weather is gloomy, it's freezing cold and it's a time where you are prone to getting sick. But if there's one thing that I like about winter, it's got to be the fashion! I love dressing up for winter as there is so much more versatility with winter clothing than summer. I also love the fact that the clothing styles in winter are generally more elegant than summer. Now I'm going to be completely honest again, I don't usually dress in a somewhat formal manner and tend to go for a more urban streetwear look, if you couldn't already tell in my past posts. And for that matter, I decided to change that up a little during an outing with some friends and really take advantage of an elegant winter look.

I'm in love with this new cropped coat that I got from H&M in Melbourne. I think it's super cute and is most likely going to be one of my favourite items for this winter. I paired it up with a pair of high waisted pants because one, it was a cropped coat and two, I feel that high waisted pants are definitely a staple piece, especially when it comes to winter. A beret was also added to add that little nature of France, because when I think of an elegent fashion sense, France is the first thing that pops up in my head. And because it is absolutely freezing at the moment, these knee high boots from Nine West came in very handy. These boots are my go-to and I wear them all the time in winter! I got them awhile ago during a trip to America and although they are quite warn out, I just don't have the heart to throw them away.

I cannot believe that I've only got one more week till Uni starts again! I'm extra excited and nervous as well because I'm changing courses this semester to commerce instead of Psychology. If you're wondering why, it's simply because I found that Psychology just wasn't for me. Oh well, better to have experienced something than nothing! I'm also a bit nervous as well since it kind of feels like I've been on holidays for a rather long time, so I don't know if I'll be able to immediately jump back into the Uni routine. But for now, I'm going to cherish the last week I have of freedom before I am bombarded with homework! And yes, that also means I'm going to try my best to update the blog! So...

Stay tuned to see more updates on my blog!
