Haul: Elf Cosmetics
Recently I made a purchase on some Elf Cosmetics as I have never tried the brand before and have always been dying to try it! So when I came across an online site called iHerb, I decided to finally purchase some Elf Cosmetics products and tick that off my very long to-do list.
One of the very first items I purchased was the Elf Baked Blush in the colour Peachy. While rummaging through all my make up one day, I realised that I was lacking in the blush department. Since they are an absolutely gorgeous item that I believe are quite an essential, I made the decision to purchase another one. And so, into the basket they go! I decided to go for a peach colour as the colours of my blushes that I have at the moment are rather pinky.
The next item I got was the Elf Little Black Beauty Book, Warm Edition. I bought this because I absolutely love eyeshadows and am quite a sucker for eyeshadow palettes. However I must admit though, I wasn't quite thrilled with the packaging as it was not as sturdy as I hoped it to be. The palettes are all a bit too small, which isn't very convenient as my brushes are rather large. But I will try and warm up to this palette and hopefully I'll use it more often than I think I will.
The Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer Clear was next in the list. I decided to purchase a face primer because surprisingly, I have never used one before...well besides formal. But I figured that it may come in handy during a night out or a party. I also went for a mineral face primer as my skin can be rather sensitive, so a mineral product would be perfect just to stay on the safe side.
I really don't need a new mascara as I've got plenty, but for some reason something was telling me to purchase one, so I purchased the Elf Mineral INFUSED Mascara! I quite like the sleek packaging of the mascara, it's simple yet sophisticated. In terms of the results from using the mascara, although the texture is quite nice and doesn't easily smudge, it gives off a rather clean finish, which isn't what I really look for in a mascara. My eyelashes are quite long already, but I like to go for a more dramatic look when applying mascara on.
Last but not least, I made a purchase on two lipsticks, one in the colour Flirtatious (on the left) and the other in Seductive (on the right). What is with these names, they're so sexual! Anyway, I'm loving the packaging, although it is rather hard to twist for some reason. The shape of the lipsticks are also quite different from the regular lipsticks I have. The tip is quite straight whereas on a regular lipstick, there would be more of a curve, if you know what I mean. However, I don't think this would affect applying it on that much. Nevertheless, I absolutely love these two colours, I think they're very adorable and wearable, suitable for any sort of events!
I am quite satisfied with my very first Elf Cosmetics purchases and I do see myself using a majority of these items on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend others to go invest in this brand because not only are the quality products pretty good, but the price range is totally affordable!
Here is a looks that I tested out using my new Elf products:
Stay tuned to see more updates on my blog!
