So this week is Orientation Week, which is basically an event that all the Universities organise to welcome the First Years before Uni starts. It's quite an exciting event filled with many activities and may I also add, many...MANY freebies. Not only that, but since it meant that I would be out of the house a bit, it also gave me the opportunity to wear some of my new clothing items!
One of my current favourite clothing items would have to be this Urban skirt that I purchased in Vietnam. Since coming back, I've been trying to find every opportunity to wear it, so I thought that Orientation Week would be a great chance to show this piece off! I'm absolutely drawn to the pattern on the skirt. Right now, I'm in love with any bottoms that have unique patterns on them, so this is definitely something that I'll be wearing often.
Denim Vest: General Pants, Shoes: Windsor Smith Sandals, Skirt: Vietnam Clothing Store
Of course, wearing a skirt, or any bottoms, with such a complex design, it's good to make sure to wear something simple on top to avoid over-doing the outfit. Thus, I decided to pair the skirt up with a simple black singlet and light denim vest. Furthermore, the attention is not drawn away from the skirt as well.
It still has not hit me yet that Uni is starting next week. Four months flew by just like that! To be honest, I'm quite nervous about starting Uni, I mean, I'm still missing high school terribly. Don't get me wrong though, I'm quite excited about starting this whole new chapter and getting to meet new people, but just the thought of all the lectures and tutorials, the humongous campus, along with the stress that I have been away from for the last four months...it is a bit overwhelming! Oh well, I'll just take it like a man and brush that all aside!
Stay tuned to see more updates on my blog!
